When You Lose Someone

When you lose someone, whether it’s through death or a closed door, there is a lesson to learn. A part of that lesson is to value a person’s presence. Their existence. Until you learn to value each being you are graced with, you will keep losing them. Step outside of your selfishness, see beyond your own desires. Acknowledge the unique gifts every encounter brings, be it love, lust, pain, sorrow… these are the things life is built upon, the foundation of who you will become. Build wisely.
